ELIGIBILITY

Check each number before starting the port request

The porting workflow checks the submitted numbers, confirms which ones can be transferred, and separates portable from non-portable results before the request can continue.

Non-business subscriptions can have stricter limits on the number of concurrent port requests. The signed-in account and the current carrier's answer determine eligibility.

  1. 01Open Profile, choose Port Numbers, and start a new request.
  2. 02Enter complete numbers separated by commas or line breaks.
  3. 03Run the portability check and remove numbers that cannot be transferred.
  4. 04Continue only with the exact numbers owned by the requesting account.
02

ACCOUNT EVIDENCE

Match authorization documents to the carrier record

The request collects end-customer identity, service and billing details, and carrier document references. A signed Letter of Authorization and current carrier evidence may be required by the carrier and route.

Names, service address, account number, phone numbers, and authorization details must match the current carrier record. Small mismatches commonly delay or reject a port.

03

CONFIRMATION

Review the carrier window before confirming the request

After documents and customer details are attached, Faxoryn requests an allowed activation window and confirms the order with the carrier. Your request then moves from draft to In progress.

Do not cancel the existing carrier or remove its routing while the request is draft or in progress.

04

STATUS AND CUTOVER

Treat completion as a number-management event

The request list shows All, Complete, In progress, and Failed views. Carrier updates and regular status checks keep the request and number records current.

When completion is recorded, verify inbound reception, outbound identity, member assignment, notifications, and the treatment of the previous account number before ending the former service.

05

EXCEPTION HANDLING

Use the carrier's reason to correct the existing request

A port can be delayed or rejected because a number cannot be transferred, account details do not match, authorization is incomplete, carrier evidence is out of date, the requested activation window is not available, or another order already controls the number.

Keep the old service active, keep the Faxoryn request reference and the carrier's order number, and correct the stated issue through the supported request path. Avoid submitting the same number twice in parallel unless the carrier asks you to.

06

CUTOVER EVIDENCE

Close the former route only after operating verification

Record completion time, active number state, inbound and outbound samples, default-number behavior, member assignments, email notifications, connected-service references, published contact changes, and the person approving cutover.

Port completion changes routing ownership but does not automatically update every team, notification, contact, or external directory that used the number.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Details to check before you continue.

Should the current carrier be cancelled before porting completes?

No. Keep the existing route active until Faxoryn and the carrier show completion and inbound testing succeeds.

Why can a portability check fail?

The carrier may not support the number or route, the number may be inactive, or the format and ownership details may be invalid.

Which details must match the carrier record?

Customer name, service address, account number, billing details, phone numbers, and authorization evidence must describe the same account.

Where is porting progress visible?

Profile > Port Numbers lists complete, in-progress, and failed requests and exposes the current request detail.
