YOUR NUMBERS

See which numbers the account owns and who uses them

The Numbers area lists your fax numbers, their current status, default designation, assignment count, and the actions available to your role.

Review this list before adding or changing a number. A number can be tied to incoming faxes, email notifications, member access, and the default sender used by email-to-fax.

  • Confirm country, number type, status, and responsible owner.
  • Identify the default outbound number and any shared assignments.
  • Resolve expired or unassigned numbers before they interrupt incoming faxes.
  • Every paid plan includes one local or toll-free number; additional numbers cost $5/month each.

NUMBER MANAGEMENT

One number, five careful transitions.

Choosing the number is only the beginning. Assignment, dependency review, release, and regular checks keep the line working.

01

ADD OR CHANGE

Select a number through the account and plan workflow

Each paid plan includes one local or toll-free number. Accounts that need additional published lines can add them for $5/month each through this workflow.

Adding a number begins with country and number-type availability. Faxoryn shows available numbers, keeps the selection attached to your signed-in account, and shows the applicable plan step before purchase.

Changing an existing number replaces a live business line. Confirm notifications, contacts, published details, and member assignments before ending use of the old number.

  1. 01Open Numbers or the fax-number control under Profile.
  2. 02Choose the add or change action and search available numbers.
  3. 03Review the selected number, plan impact, and assignment state.
  4. 04Confirm the change, then test inbound and outbound routing.
02

TEAM ASSIGNMENT

Assign numbers according to responsibility

Administrators can assign numbers to members and can share a number where the team workflow requires it. The assignment controls who can act on the number; notification recipients are set separately.

Keep one default outbound number for workflows such as email-to-fax, and review assignments whenever a member changes role or leaves the team.

03

RELEASE CONTROL

Treat deletion as the end of a live line

Before releasing a number, confirm that it is not the default sender, that no member or automation still depends on it, and that the records you need have been kept.

After the change completes, verify that the number no longer appears as active and that the replacement line works. A released number may not come back.

04

CHANGE IMPACT

Trace every workflow that depends on the number

A fax number can appear in published contact details, saved defaults, team assignments, email-to-fax sender settings, notification rules, integrations, API settings, and external business records. List those references before replacing or releasing it.

Use an overlap period where the carrier and your business allow it, communicate the effective date, and keep a fallback or alternate contact path until incoming and outgoing faxes are verified.

05

NUMBER REVIEW

Review ownership and exceptions on a regular schedule

Review active, expired, unassigned, default, shared, porting, and recently released numbers with their responsible members. Investigate unread incoming faxes, repeated failures, unexpected usage, and numbers whose business purpose is no longer clear.

Keep the carrier and account references for support. Availability, area code, number type, renewal, and release behavior are determined by the live carrier and by the terms of your current plan.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Details to check before you continue.

Where can an account review its fax numbers?

Open Numbers or the fax-number controls under Profile to review status, default designation, assignments, and the available actions.

Can one fax number be assigned to several team members?

The team workflow supports shared assignment where the account permits it. Define one owner for follow-up and configure notifications separately.

What should be checked before changing a number?

Review published contact details, member assignments, default-sender use, notifications, integrations, and any expected inbound documents.

Can a released number always be recovered?

No. Treat release as ending an active route and confirm the replacement workflow before completing it.
