CONNECTED WORKFLOW
Connect fax with Google, Microsoft, Slack, and API tools
Bring files into Faxoryn and send delivery updates outward without losing the fax record you can check.
CONNECTION DIRECTORY
Connect by task, not by logo count.
Each integration removes a specific step while the fax record stays in Faxoryn.

WAYS TO SEND
CONNECTION BOUNDARY
The connection moves input or alerts; Faxoryn keeps the fax record.
Authorize the intended account with only the permissions the workflow needs. Use a sample file to check page preview, destination review, and the resulting fax record.
Know how your team reconnects, falls back to local upload, and revokes access when ownership changes. A file in another service, a sent email, or a channel notification is not proof of fax delivery; check the final status in Faxoryn.
CONNECTED FILES
Select the document where it already lives
Connected storage can reduce download-and-upload steps when preparing a fax. The selected file still enters the Faxoryn review flow before sending.
Connection permissions, supported formats, and service availability should be reviewed before a workflow depends on a third-party file picker.
- Google Drive and Microsoft file selection for browser workflows.
- Dropbox and Box pickers for supported account connections.
- Local upload remains available when a connection is unavailable.
EVENT ROUTING
Use notifications to prompt action, not replace the record
Email and Slack can tell the right person that a fax arrived, failed, or completed. The workspace remains the place to inspect the destination, file, status history, and saved result.
For automated workflows, the API makes delivery status explicit and supports checking the final result after a temporary failure.
SUPPORTED CONNECTIONS
Choose the connection by the job it performs
Google Drive, Microsoft file services, Dropbox, and Box provide document selection. Email can send supported messages and receive notifications. Slack sends selected updates to a channel. The API supports automated workflows.
Each connection has different permissions, file limits, update behavior, and recovery steps. Test the exact account and workflow before making it part of a recurring process.
CONNECTION MANAGEMENT
Plan for expired access and connection downtime
Connected access should have a clear owner, a visible reconnect path, and a supported fallback. Remove authorizations when the account, employee, or workflow no longer needs them.
EMAIL ENTRY POINT
Authorize the sender and keep delivery separate from email
Email-to-fax accepts supported content from the address registered to your account and uses an active default fax number as the sender. Attachments and meaningful message content enter the normal sending flow; the email Sent folder does not prove fax delivery.
Failure messages should tell you whether the problem was an unknown sender, an unavailable default number, an invalid destination, unsupported content, page allowance, or a later carrier failure. Review the resulting Faxoryn record before sending a corrected message.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Give every automated fax a durable business reference
Applications create and check faxes using an API key, while automatic updates report later status changes. Store the returned Faxoryn record number with your business record and check the final status, because delivery can be delayed or retried.
Keeping status in sync, rotating keys, handling usage limits, logging carefully, and naming a person for exceptions are part of the integration. A successful API response means the job was accepted, not that the destination received it.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Details to check before you continue.
Which tools can I connect?
Google Drive, Microsoft file services, Dropbox, and Box for document selection; email for sends and status; Slack for selected updates; and the API for automated workflows from your own systems.
Does a connected tool send my fax?
A connected tool prepares files or sends notifications. The destination, status, and final result are recorded in Faxoryn, so check that record.
What happens when authorization expires?
Reconnect the account when you need it again, or keep working in Faxoryn without the connection. If Faxoryn has no record of an action, do not assume it happened.
Does an email or Slack notification prove delivery?
No. A notification is a prompt to act. Use the final delivered or failed state and timestamp in the Faxoryn record.
