WAYS TO PREPARE

The device prepares the fax; the workspace proves the result.

Choose the path that matches your document, then check the result in one Faxoryn record.

01Browser workspace

Complete destination review, page preview, sending, and status.

02Email or connected file

Authorized input for a narrower workflow, with the result recorded in Faxoryn.

03Scanned paper

Create and inspect a supported digital file before upload.

NOT INCLUDEDNative app · print driver · fax modem · direct printer connection

TASK PATH

Work toward a result you can verify.

  1. 01

Use a sample document for the first send.

  2. 02

Confirm account access, page allowance, and number requirements.

  3. 03

Keep the source document under the organization's approved access controls.

  4. 04

Open the supported Faxoryn entry point and log in.

  5. 05

Add the complete destination, source document, and necessary cover context.

  6. 06

Preview every fax page and review the sending settings.

01

STARTING POINT

Begin with Fax a printed document without a phone line from a supported entry point

The current product does not expose a direct printer-to-Faxoryn integration. Convert the paper page into a supported digital file before starting the web send workflow.

Scan with an approved multifunction device or capture tool, save as PDF or a supported image, and check that every page is upright, complete, and readable.

This page covers printer. Check the relevant account setting or fax record before you continue.

  • Use a sample document for the first send.
  • Confirm account access, page allowance, and number requirements.
  • Keep the source document under the organization's approved access controls.
02

SEND WORKFLOW

Prepare, preview, submit, and follow one saved fax

Upload the scanned file in New Fax, add the verified destination and optional cover, preview the file, and send it as a normal fax.

  1. 01Open the supported Faxoryn entry point and log in.
  2. 02Add the complete destination, source document, and necessary cover context.
  3. 03Preview every fax page and review the sending settings.
  4. 04Submit once, then follow the saved job to a final state.
03

BOUNDARY

Do not confuse the input tool with fax delivery

Printing a document or adding a printer shortcut does not create a fax record. Only the saved Faxoryn fax and its final state confirm the workflow.

Sending means the job entered the service workflow. Retain the final delivered or failed state and timestamp for operational follow-up.

04

RECOVERY

Check the saved record before trying again

If upload, preview, authorization, or sending fails, read the visible state and correct that condition before creating another job. Repeated sending can create duplicate documents at the destination.

05

PRINTER CAPABILITY CHECK

Identify whether the device faxes, scans, or only prints

A multifunction printer with an analog fax modem can run its own phone-line workflow. A scanner can create the digital source used by Faxoryn. A print-only device cannot submit a fax merely because it is connected by Wi-Fi or USB.

For the Faxoryn path, use the scanner or another approved capture tool, save a supported file, and inspect the result before upload. Do not configure a historical print driver as though it were a current Faxoryn integration.

  • Fax-capable hardware follows its manufacturer and phone-line instructions.
  • Scan-capable hardware supplies a file for the browser workflow.
  • Print-only hardware needs a separate scan or digital source step.
06

PAPER HANDLING

Check every captured page before fax

Remove staples, align the feeder, select a readable resolution, and check both sides when the original is duplex. Confirm that no page is clipped, skewed, blank, duplicated, or captured in the wrong orientation.

Protect the paper original and delete temporary scans according to the organization's policy after the Faxoryn record and final state are retained.

07

ROUTE OPTIONS

Identify whether the printer faxes, scans, or only prints

A fax-capable multifunction device may send over its own phone line. A scan-capable device can create the PDF or image used by Faxoryn. A print-only device cannot create a fax fax without another capture or transport step.

  • Fax modem and feeder: use the manufacturer's destination, phone-line, report, and receiving instructions.
  • Printer driver fax: verify that a real fax driver and transport are configured, not an ordinary print queue.
  • Scan to file: inspect orientation, duplex pages, contrast, cropping, and page order before upload.
  • Online receiving: keep the Faxoryn number active; no local printer needs to remain powered on.
08

ROUTE-SPECIFIC LIMIT

Confirm the step this method can actually prove

The current product does not claim a direct printer integration. The supported bridge is a reviewed digital file unless a separately verified printer connector is introduced later.

Send one sample document, keep the record number from the system that sent the fax, and confirm the final delivered or failed state before adopting the route for recurring work.

09

FAX-CAPABLE HARDWARE

Use the device feeder or fax driver only with a configured phone route

A multifunction device with fax capability normally needs a compatible analog line, fax server, or manufacturer-supported transport. Enter the destination on the device or approved driver, load pages in the documented orientation, and use the device's own report and receive settings.

That hardware transaction is independent of Faxoryn. It will not automatically appear in the web Inbox, Outbox, contacts, usage, or support history unless a separate verified integration exists.

10

SCAN QUALITY

Turn the paper original into a controlled fax source

Remove staples, flatten folds, clean the scanner glass, align feeder guides, select a readable resolution, and capture both sides when needed. Review every page for skew, clipping, shadows, bleed-through, blank sheets, duplicates, and incorrect order.

Save the approved scan in a supported format, remove unnecessary local copies according to policy, and compare the Faxoryn preview with the paper original before sending.

11

RECEIVING CHOICE

Decide whether inbound pages belong on paper or in a governed Inbox

A fax-capable printer can answer its own phone route and print received pages according to device settings. Faxoryn receives through an active eligible cloud number and stores the document in Inbox, where ownership, download, notification, and later handling can be controlled separately.

Choose the path based on number ownership, unattended paper exposure, shared access, after-hours intake, searchable records, retention, device maintenance, and failure response. Do not publish or port the number until the selected inbound route has been tested independently.

WHEN THE RESULT DIFFERS

Stop before repeating an action.

Read the visible status, keep the relevant record number, and correct the stated issue before retrying. Contact support without including fax contents, passwords, or API keys.
