01

STARTING POINT

Begin with Send and receive fax activity through email from a supported entry point

Email-to-fax accepts a message only from an address that matches a Faxoryn account with an active default fax number. The final email domain must be confirmed before launch.

Attach supported documents or provide a meaningful supported message body, and encode the complete fax destination using the account's published email format.

This page covers send, receive, email. Check the relevant account setting or fax record before you continue.

  • Use a sample document for the first send.
  • Confirm account access, page allowance, and number requirements.
  • Keep the source document under the organization's approved access controls.
02

SEND WORKFLOW

Prepare, preview, submit, and follow one saved fax

After sending the email, open Faxoryn and confirm that it created the intended fax with the correct destination and source files.

  1. 01Open the supported Faxoryn entry point and log in.
  2. 02Add the complete destination, source document, and necessary cover context.
  3. 03Preview every fax page and review the sending settings.
  4. 04Submit once, then follow the saved job to a final state.
03

BOUNDARY

Do not confuse the input tool with fax delivery

An item in the email Sent folder is not proof of fax delivery. Receiving by email is a notification or forwarding behavior; Inbox remains the main received record.

Sending means the job entered the service workflow. Retain the final delivered or failed state and timestamp for operational follow-up.

04

RECOVERY

Check the saved record before trying again

If upload, preview, authorization, or sending fails, read the visible state and correct that condition before creating another job. Repeated sending can create duplicate documents at the destination.

05

ROUTE OPTIONS

Treat outbound email and inbound notification as different flows

Outbound email-to-fax creates a fax from an authorized sender, destination email format, body, and attachments. Inbound email delivery is a notification or forwarding behavior attached to a fax received by an active number.

  • Outbound: verify sender authorization, full destination, supported attachments, and the resulting Faxoryn job.
  • Inbound: configure approved recipients and whether attachments may leave the workspace by email.
  • Delivery Record: use the Faxoryn fax status, not the email provider's sent or delivered status.
  • Recovery: distinguish rejected email, a file that would not preview, failed fax delivery, and missing notification.
06

ROUTE-SPECIFIC LIMIT

Confirm the step this method can actually prove

Email forwarding can broaden access to received documents and create additional retained copies. Review recipient lists, mailbox security, attachment policy, and offboarding before enabling it.

Send one sample document, keep the record number from the system that sent the fax, and confirm the final delivered or failed state before adopting the route for recurring work.

WHEN THE RESULT DIFFERS

Stop before repeating an action.

Read the visible status, keep the relevant record number, and correct the stated issue before retrying. Contact support without including fax contents, passwords, or API keys.
